For businesses interested in successful Automotive SEO and social media, Pinterest has historically taken a backseat to Facebook and Twitter, and rightfully so. The upstart social network is neat and all, but it never had the ability to really communicate a brand…until recently that is.
Pinterest has been attracting new users like crazy, and it’s quickly becoming a marketing venue worth your time. Check out this infographic from WishPond, who consistently puts out very pretty infographics. This one isn’t SUPER dense with information, but it is still relatively eye-opening stuff. Some of the most interesting facts are that visitors referred from the social pinning site spend 70% more dough than those referred from non-social media sources. Also, Pinterest users are MORE likely than Facebook users to actively search for something they want to purchase.
It’s still a brave new world for automotive dealers, and no one is sure exactly how Pinterest will pan out. The safe bet is to take a little time and set up an account with some of your best pictures. It’s a minimal investment for what may prove to be a decent reward. Check out the infographic after the break.
