Do you pay attention to your customer reviews across the net? I have been asking this question to different automotive dealerships lately, many of whom are pretty good at automotive SEO, and I have been absolutely shocked by the replies. Many, many dealerships have said that between all of the different review sites on the web and their already very busy schedules, they can not be bother to spend any time monitoring their customer reviews. It is absolutely mind boggling!
As a local business (and that’s what all good automotive dealerships should feel like) you NEED to understand what people in the community are saying about your business. Not only do you need to address negative reviews (the ones that you feel you can address at least) you can gain valuable insight into the way your business is operating. Maybe there are a lot of people complaining about a particular salesman or part of the ambiance, by reading the reviews you can catch these negative trends and nip them in the bud before they lose you any more sales than they have to.
If you need any further convincing, check out the infographic below. It’s a little old, but it does a great job illustrating the importance of reviews and how they can affect everything from customer service to SEO.
